Your past support of The Center for the Partially Sighted has been so important to our ability to continue to provide the services that help people cope with loss of vision. Last year, we served over 2,800 individuals — infants through centenarians — in ourCulver City, Tarzana, Eagle Rock,TorranceandSan Luis Obispolocations. It is our goal to serve even more people in the coming year.
As you consider your year-end tax deductible gifts, we ask that you include The Center in your giving plans. Did you know that less than half of our costs are covered by government contracts and reimbursements from Medicare, MediCal and payments received directly from our clients? In order to offer the rich array of services that are critical to effective low vision care, we must raise over $1 million in donations each year from private foundations and individuals like you. We pride ourselves on the fact that 87% of every dollar we receive goes directly into patient services and programs.
This year, we are offering the opportunity to donate on a monthly, auto-renewing basis. Your sustaining contributions will provide a reliable stream of support, reduce costs and allow more of your dollars to go directly to support of our programs and services. With your charitable contribution, you will make an enormous impact on the way children and adults living with low vision in Southern California see the world.
